IDS Imaging Development Systems’ new
building was finished end-2008 and does not only offer a great view on the
surrounding vineyards of Obersulm. As is the case with IDS products, the
real value is in the details: being powered by geothermal and solar energy
while offering highly efficient heating and ventilation technology, the
building allows for carbon neutral operation. Inside the representative
building with generously designed and modern office, production, and
logistics environments we completely develop and produce machine vision
components. From here, the products are also shipped world wide. Thus, we
can guarantee short communications paths, quick reaction and constantly high
quality.
More than 90,000 frame grabbers and
some 10,000 cameras sold and integrated world wide proof that our business
concept is highly competitive. Our products cater not only to industrial
vision applications such as automation and quality assurance, but also to
new markets, such as security technology and non-industrial segments.
The IDS GmbH looks back on 12
successful years of company history. In 1997, it was found as a
two-men-enterprise by Armin Vogt and Jürgen Hartmann. The goal was—and still
is—to develop professional imaging components which offer an excellent
price-performance-ratio and are easy to use. Today, the company has more
than 70 employees and is internationally established with a subsidiary in
the USA and sales partners in almost all European and Asian countries. About
half of IDS’ employees have a degree in engineering and work in the R&D
department or in the Application Engineering team which consults customers
before and after purchase. |
